The Bratislava Music Festival is the biggest, the most prestigious, and the longest lasting musical event in Slovakia. Its 50thanniversary has the scent of its long history – the organizers have invited the musical artists who have belonged to the most common performers of this festival. Together with the best Slovak performers, they create the unique musical atmosphere, introducing the utmost of contemporary music. The festival includes 25 concerts and to the festival guests belong: the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, that will be performing in Bratislava for the first time, the London Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Philharmoniker, the Tchaikovski Symphony Orchestra Moscow, the Czech Philharmonic, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon, and Orquesta Sinfonica de Barcelona y Nacional de Cataluña.
Among conductors can be found: Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Fedosejev, Jiří Bělohlávek, Leonard Slatkin, Peter Schneider, Iván Fischer, Pinchas Steinberg, and Emmanuel Villaume.
